An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Ahlonna.

The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a massive tome lined with fake jewels on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Ahlonna' scribed in dark green ink.

Author: Ahlonna
Date: Wed Apr 8 23:51:14 2009
Subject A path begins

As Ahlonna nervously ran her finger along the embroidery of her
robes,
she found herself humming quietly. Her tutors paced back and
forth before
her eyes making the sitting room the least comfortable it had
ever seemed
before now. She was trying to understand the rude intrusion in to
her
evening off from her studies and what could be so important that
both of
these men where here now. They both moved around anxiously and
both jumped
as the door opened. She sat up and her humming stopped. Her
confusion
escalated when her father entered. His lean frame blocked view
from the hall
but she was positive that he was not alone. He was always
accompanied by
some one buying for his time. She found it hilarious at times. He
was
considered a lower ranked representative for the house Royal whom
had never
even met his distant cousin the speaker in person. But for this
small
Silvanesti village he efficiently took care of the mundane tasks
that the
Speaker of Stars need not bother with Her father was also blunt
and always
to the point. He turned to the teachers and simply stated that
they were no
longer needed . He told them that another family had desire of
there
services and handed each of them folded parchment with the
information and
his seal of reference. They left after wishing her and her father
well and
thanked him as he handed them a small pouch of silver each. It
was when they
left that he turned to her to speak.

"They told me you had progressed in your studies that they
believed you
will do fine on your own now." He smiled at her for a brief
moment. "Your
chance to make your own path is here, let us see what you do with
it. You
are a great honor and asset to this family" . With that he
turned and left,
the door closing behind her.

She sat quietly for a while wondering at the brief exchange. It
was much
like most conversations with her father or her mother for that
matter.
Without the structure of her studies the promise of advancing her
skills in
sorcery. She knew without a doubt that her love of magic would be
the major
beacon lighting this "Path of her own." she was now suppose to be
on. She
smiled at the view of the moons now visible in the window. For
now it seemed
that this path called her to her bed.
