The Great Library of Palanthas

An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Baulin.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a heavy leather-bound book on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Baulin' scribed in faded black ink.

Subject My Early Years

Being raised as the third son of a nearly landless noble does not give
one many options in life. Our nobility as I had learned at a young age
wwas a thing of paper and nothing more. I had one desire and that was
to get out of the small village A friend of my fathers ran a caravan
buisness hauling goods up and down the coutry. We he asked me to help
him I saw my way out. My father had no qualms about me joining his
friend even though I was only 12. One less mouth to feed was all he
considered.

In the manner I was raised I had never even had the oppertunity to see a
city let alone a major one. All I could hold onto as I saw the gates of
Palanthas, was a saying past down through my family for generations.

Est Sularus Oth Mithas When I looked at the city for the first time I
was nearly overwhelmed. I had never seen anything so grand.

Going through the gate I saw my first Solamnic Knight. Resplendent in
polished silver armor.

Seeing him on his warhorse with a kindly yet stern visage on his
suprisinly young face I knew right then that I would one day be a
knight.

For the next six years I learned all I could about weapons and war.
Studing for the day that I would have the courage to petition the
Knighthood for acceptance.

I learned the meaning of my family phrawse and that my ancestors must
have been knights as well.

Now the time has come I finnally feel ready to besiege the knighthood
for acceptance. I await their reply with trepidition.

Even if they were to refuse me I will continue toi live by the my
families and the knighthood oath and measure.

Est Sularus Oth Mithas- My honor is my Life.
