The Alcove of Joseph

The room you stand in seems small and simple, almost as if this room is some kind of cabin upon a boat. The screeches and small squeaks on the floorboards are a dead give away the room doesn't have much, a small wooden desk with a candle on top of it and a book. The book has ink with a feather quill pen right next to it. The candle ruffles silently as you enter the room simply because the wind shifted inside. It feels weird as if something inside can feel your presence.

Since there is nothing more to see you might as well open that interesting looking book.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Joseph.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Subject Joseph C. Street [The thrilling Riley]

The sky is bright blue, beautiful a pirates freedom can not ever be taken if they keep their eyes on the horizon. Even when imprisoned they can still sense freedom close by. Even when they breath their last breath. They die a free man. Now why was Joseph C. Street thinking about the words his old man once told him. Its odd to consider that he might have been right. He used to hate him for always being gone. For not being there on yet another birthday. But now that he sailed the seas himself he starts to understand him more than he wants to. {p "Oi, Street! Get ya lazy arsh on the rigging. Ya been dicking round for way too long." The man with the open white blouse and black leather pants and boots get to his feet while grunting in annoyance. {p "Snot like ya do more than the average bum on this ship, asshole." He mutters back with a slight playful tune in his voice. It doesnt take him long to snake himself up the rigging of course the next few hours or so the commands and calls go from left to right as they slide over the waters. There is a moment of salvation for Joseph on that rigging. The sun has gone down quite its barely peeking over the horizon. Its funny because little does Joseph know. It will be the last horizon he will see from this ship. "Smoke ahead!" Is yelled from the eagles nest. Joseph turns his sight slightly to see a big smoke cloud coming from the North east. "Yarr men! Hoist the sail hoist the flag! It seems what ever has caused that is coming right for us!" What? Right for us? is Josephs thought while they get closer and closer. Is he nuts!? Since when did we deal with other people's problems!? Well fuck me! It doesnt take long before a shim of a ship masked by the pitch cloud is visible to the crew on board. Ship ahead! Another call from the eagles nest. After this Joseph could wonder why he never heard the captain command them. Why did he not tell them what to do? But nobody would ever blame him. Because the ship that came from the cloud was bigger than anyone on board had ever seen. The screams..of the men and the sound of cannon fire crashing in to the woodwork of The thrilling Riley. The heat from the flames rising and the sound of explosions because they hit the powder chamber of their ship. The smell of burned skin and that same pitch back cloud suddenly making one realize that youre completely cut off from the outside. Within minutes you cease to exist and nobody would even know you are gone. The families of those on board The thrilling Riley would never hear what has happened to their, husband, father or son. They will be forgotten as they travel downwards to Davey Jones locker.

Author: Joseph Date: Thu Jul 30 13:04:58 2015 Subject Joseph C. Street [Burial at sea?]

The last light of the ending day is still reaching below the surface. It's stroking Joseph C. Street's face as if it's saying it's last goodbye. "Will it end here..? Not even more then five years on the sea.." "Mother sea..father sky.. will this be our last meeting?" "I guess the sea is as unexpected as you told me, old man.." "Is this what you thought of when you had your burial at sea, old man?" "I guess I should be proud..to die at sea. A pirate's burial is never forgotten right? old man? " "The sea will always remember me, right? That's what you said, right?" Everything around him is getting darker and darker, by now the sunlight can no longer reach. For how long can he keep his breath? And why is he holding on to his last dying breath? It's getting cold, his limbs aren't responding any more. "Not yet, Joseph C. Street your bloodline is far to important to us." "What?" Was that real? Was that voice actually real? Who.. But his thoughts are interrupted as he suddenly feels a tremendous force in his back. Bubbles and streams form around him like a whirl pool if it kept up it would surely break him in half! Wait..the surface..the light!? He can see it getting closer! But that's about all he gets to see because the last stream of bubbles escape his mouth. If the sound wasn't blocked by the water he would surely cough it out. "One day we will settle this debt." Again that voice.. Then he feels the force lift from his back the surrounding water pressure seems to vanish. Did..I survive? Is the last thought that goes through his mind as he passes out all together. Little does Joseph know he is literally surfacing and being launched sky high. And as if fate itself is controlling his body he lands straight on a floating wooden piece of The thrilling Riley. Land ahoy! is what the eagles nest would have said if he had seen what is at end of the horizon. And so..Joseph's story..continues.

Author: Joseph Date: Wed Aug 5 13:08:41 2015 Subject Joseph C. Street [The Falchion: A family treasure.]

The pirate often referred to as the son of Charley P. Street could hear the waves. But they seemed to be far away or maybe his mind is somewhere far away. "Dad!? Dad!? Where are you? Da-..." A small boy with purple hair doesn't finish that sentence. What ever cut him off caused his jaw to drop and his eyes to stay wide open. "Dad...?" The boy says to man standing tall and buffed on the very edge of a cliff. Up on a closer look one could see that the man was covered in bruises, and fresh bluid. Though the surprising factor here is the fact that the man was still standing. The boy with the purple hair shuffles forward very carefully "D-dad?" As the boy reaches the side of the big man he could see his face. The big man quite literally had the stare of a dead man. Yet the opposite was true because the big man turns his head and smiles. "I heard you the first time, kid." The kid spoken to is staring still. "Did you want something?" The big man says to the kid. Joseph replies by slowly lifting up a Fish that he probably caught himself. But the kid has other things on his mind right now. Such as..How did his father get all that fresh blood on him. "Yar! ya done well kiddo. Ah..ya probably wondering huh?" All that blood? Yes tell him. "Don't ya worry ya head over it, I'll be fine." How can he not worry? "Sit down with me Joseph, ya have to make me a promise." Joseph does as his father requests. "Joseph the sea calls out to our bloodline. Ya have heard it yea?" Joseph nods a few times and turns his head to the sea. "Joseph when that time comes, the time you will travel the sea..I want you to promise me something." The boy turns his head to give his father a curious look. "I want you to promise me to grab that weapon from the wall." Joseph would spit out his drink if he had any so instead he just gasps and almost chokes. "What!? Isn't that like sacred or something!? You told me I would be cursed if I grabbed it!?" The big man breaks out in pure laughter and smacks his child on the back. The boy pretty much coughs and he gives his father a confused look. "Yar yar! Don't tell me ya actually still believe that!? haha!" He did. And that laughter fades, the scene fades, why? Because there is still a man with purple hair floating on a wooden platform towards the shore. That same man has something holstered on either side of his hip. One is a gun and the other is a well cleaned Falchion with a golden handle and black river like shapes over it's blade. Certainly no ordinary sword has those marks, certainly this man holds a great deal of mystery.

A small step from the wooden platform on to the soft sand. His purple hair ruffles lightly when the wind strokes gently over the side of his face. "Bwa bwaha..lookie lookie what the sea decided to wash ashore.." A group of dirty looking men takes a few steps closer to the washed ashore purple haired man. The leader is obviously the guy dragging his snake like tongue over the blade of his dagger. The rest of them just seem like a bunch of followers that did not have anything better to do. "You picked the wrong beach to wash on to..boy.." Funny how the man did not seem any older than he was. But he'll let that slide for now. The hand of Joseph ever so slowly begins to move towards the handle of his Falchion. Funny enough the opposite end of his hip no longer carried that pistol. It probably washed away during his trip here. Joseph's eyes are somewhat hidden behind the long locks of his purple hair and his lips curve in to a grin. "Ho ho..? Didn't your daddy ever tell you only nightmares wash ashore.." The man instantly loses his amused grin once he heard that cocky response. "Why you little..you'll regret th-.." Silence..when did..how did..what? There wasn't much time to realize what happened only until it actually happened. Joseph's hand moved during that response. Quickly and swift like the wind. The falchion had turned in his palm with a flick of his wrist, and found itself right through the chest of this bandit. "Regret the day you decided to pick this spot for your little band of wannabe bandits." At that very moment the tip of the falchion reflected the light of the sun only until it was removed from said chest. Blood dripped on the sandy beach and the bandit leader took a few steps back. It seems the unfortunate man did not realize what had happened and still has no clue. The bandit looks up from his wound staring at the man with the purple hair. "Wha..who.." It wouldn't be Joe's choice of last words. But everyone has their style. "Morty!!? What are you!!? I'm getting the hell out of here!" the group of wannebe bandits screams. Their leader on the other hand falls forward, stomach first in the send. Oh yes, he's dead. A lot of flailing and screaming happens next and before you know it. The bandits had separated and Joseph was alone with the former leader. Joseph holsters the Falchion with a cold facial expression and begins his march passed the bandit. That day Joseph C. Street announced his presence.

Joseph slowly settles the Falchion on his hip again as he marches passed the former leader. This day Joseph C. Street left his mark.
