Subject (BG) A New Life. A New Beginning.

Okar's life is a huge mystery, one he is still trying to
figure out himself. This is because only three short
years ago, he awoke in the plains of Abanasinia with
complete and total amnesia.

Remembering nothing of his life before, he wandered,
stopping between the tribes, asking if anyone knew or
remembered him, but his quest was in vain. And since most
of the barbarians distrusted outsiders, he was an
outcast, even when allowed to settle.

He spent many months camped by himself, searching his
mind for the answers that never came. But during this
self imposed exile, he began to gain wisdom and some
insight into the natural world around him.

Late one night, he awoke with a bash to the face, and
standing over him were several goblins, others were
ransacking his things, and out of instinct or subconcious
knowlege coming back, he reacted with blinding speed and
strength. They stood little chance as he made quick work
of them. There was only one left, cowering and begging
in an unknown tongue, and again something of a memory
came back. He could not kill it defenseless. So he gave
it a good kick and it ran away.

He realized there were inate skills in him, something
natural or learned but forgotten in whatever caused him
to lose his memory. So he began to practice his unarmed
combat, but also develope his mind. Many an hour he
would spend in silent meditation, finding balance in his
mind, and trying to remember his past.

And finally he came upon Tantallon. A small remote town
in the Eastwall Mountains. It was much different than
the barbarians, having a more civilized culture, as it
was ruled by a Solamnic lord. He became an apprentice to
the local leather smith, and excelled in tanning and
curing hides, fashioning them into armors, but also quite
detailed bags, and even exotic etched leather art.

He had done an enormous stretched leather mural of a
beautiful Vallenwood tree, a true masterpiece, when a
local man stopped by. He told him it reminded him of
Zivilyn, The god of Wisdom, also called the Tree of Life.

And so Okar found as much reading material as possible on
the wise god, and talked to those who knew about his
worship. Did he create the mural subconciously or was
Zivilyn calling to him. He just knew instinctively that
this diety was his destiny. And this is how he began to
worship him.

Three years later, having developed a strict code of
conduct and a balanced lifestyle, coupled with a devout
respect and reverence for Zivilyn, he knew it was time to
venture out into the world. He would find the answers to
his past, now having the tools to cope with whatever he
would find. And he wanted to find others who were as
devout to the God's as himself.

And so now his true adventure begins. And he knows that
no matter what happens, he has been given grace and
wisdom to see it through. Indeed a new start. A new beginning.
