Subject  A reawakening

The hall erupted in a resounding cheer as everyone toasted the Lord High Warrior
one last time. "Thank you gents, but now I must bid you all a good night,"
Ulthar said, rising to leave. As he walked through the empty halls of the keep,
thoughts began invading Ulthar's mind, eradicating any joy he felt. These
thoughts, though ever present, came with more force around his birthday As each
year passed, the nightmares became worse. Now 35, Ulthar seemed to get them
everywhere he went. Sighing heavily, Ulthar walked upon the battlements and
looked out across Palanthas. It truly was a beautiful city, though recently the
gate guards had become less restrictive about who they let in. Taking a deep
breath, Ulthar went into his thoughts, allowing them control.

"My son, I have no wish for you to be a warrior."

"But father, all the men in our family were great knights. All of my friends
know the stories of the Tivarius line, all the back to my grandfather's

"My boy, they may know some stories, but few know all the tales of our line."

"Tell me father, I must know!"

"In due due time."
