I never knew my mother, although my father would tell me tales about
her beauty.

I guess life was better living in the human lands than the Elven ones
seeing as how they view a half breed like me. I learned at a young age
that I had no endurance for the physical things in life but I loved to
read. One day while i was in the library, I came across a book that
described the Great Mages of the lands, I couldn't put it down, it was
then I realized that I would devote my life to the arcane arts, and
hopefully, I would one day be mentioned in the tomes in league with
them. found a small school willing to train me in the basics of magic.
In order to afford it I worked for the Master of the school, getting
reagents and components for his various needs. This was a wonderful
time for me as I was learning all i could from whoever wanted to show
me. I felt I was gaining in knowledge, but the forest that came to a
mage when he was ready never did. I couldn't understand why.

It was about a week after my initial concern about the test when my
world was shattered. The sounds of attack rang out, and I was awoken
from my sleep, only to see the fires of war burning my town to ashes.
My father equipped himself and ran out only to be taken by surprise and
slain.

I managed to escape with my life, but not much else. I found a small
grove, and fell to my knees, eyes swelling with tears, I had lost all
that I knew, I vowed then and there that I would never weep again.

I called to the only God I knew that would grant me the power to enact
my vengeance upon all who had wronged me. In the chill night air, there
I prayed.. "Nuitari, I seek you, grant me the ability to gaze at your
moon, and give me the strength to vanquish my enemies, I pray to you,
the most powerful of the Gods of magic, let me bask in your black
light, and feel the warmth of your magic surround me."

I have yet to see the forest or the Black Moon, I await the answer, I
know in my heart, I will have my answer soon.
