Subject Business is picking up.

The minotaurs were about to begin thier duel. One was his target, the other
was lucky he wasn't. Alonsen waited until they both had thier backs facing him
and then used a wand of control upon his target.

The minotaur quickly fell under his command and he order him to follow.
Alonsen led the minotaur to a peaceful grove, he forced the minotaur to kneel
before him and then knocked him unconscious.

The minotaur could not fight back, and he didn't. After he was done he recited
a scroll which his employer had given him, the minotaur's body vanished.

Alonsen knew his payer had been a practicioner of magic, he could sense it
within him, however he did not see his face. Most likely the body would be
transported into the jail of the conclave, but he wasn't sure.

He was sure that he would recieve his payment for completeing the task, and
that's all that really mattered to him in the end. The bottom line on the
contract, payment offered for his services.

Subject Exacting revenge.

After his meeting with the man in the plains...Deamanil was his name, Alonsen
had been paid to kill the clerics of the holy order and the runners of the
wild. He thought about thier talk long and hard each day, considering this
deal.

It bothered him that the man had mentioned a solamnic knight had helped the
other two in the encounter with deamanil. Why did he not want the knights
killed?

Maybe he forgot, or maybe the knight played a slightly smaller role, whatever
the reason Alonsen felt they deserved justice also and his next victim would
be one who wished to be with the order.

Alonsen watched the knights carefully the next few days, seeking out a target
amongst them. Most of them were very battle worn and skilled in combat, and
very poor too. He could not find a single knight that was a worth target worth
his time.

Days later Alonsen had found his target, the man was a minotaur of all things.
Alonsen had watched the man carefully for a few days, he spoke of becoming a
knight and he sat many knights within the city of Palanthas.

Carefully concealing himself and who he was while around the deadly minotaur
Alonsen watched from a far and often only heard bits and pieces of what the
minotaur was saying, but he was almost sure this was a good target.

Finally he decided the minotaur would be his target. One day he came across
the minotaur with a group of others, they were travelling outside the city on
some sort of adventure.

Alonsen knew this was his chance, however before he arrived a mage had begun
to cast various protective spells upon the bunch, this did not stop Alonsen
however, he quickly slept the minotaur with a scroll.

Then he scared the rest of the group away and began to drag the minotaur far
away from where he was, to disorient him. In time the minotaur fell
unconscious.

Alonsen went through the minotaurs belongings and found he had quite a few
diamonds stashed away in a pouch. Even if Deamanil refused to pay him for this
defeat, it had suddenly became more than worth it.

Subject Money is power.

Alonsen took a deep breath, he was free again. The solamnic jail could not
hold him, the solamnics had weaknesses of thier own to worry about before
prisoners.

Alonsen knew the one he battled was paid by Vaos to kill him, so much for
solamnic honor he thought to himself. His defeat had simply been his own
fault, shinare had not failed him, he had failed himself.

Escape was simple, they stripped him of his possessions, but he had his
intelligence, something they did not have. Alonsen prayed to shinare and his
goddess blessed him, allowing him to escape.

It would be days before the foolish knights would notice, maybe sooner if
Alonsen came across one. There would be much retribution for this
embarassment.
