  Defenders of the faith and free, 

Hail and well met! All is well in Gaardlund, and the plains of Solamnic
continue to flourish this season. News of an evil artifact in the city of
Palanthas has reached our ears, and we were dismayed to hear about the
attack on the Lordcity! But my congratuations and thanks to the defenders of
the city! Not many have withstood the anger of a red worm! 

There has nor will there ever be a force I honor more. The Knights of
Solamnic continue to keep this land in peace. And so, it is with great pride
that I send my second son to join in our effort.

Corren uth Erhlich, who possess this letter, is of the noble Erhlich family.
We have been proud protectors of these lands for hundreds of years. I, Lord
Enderan uth Erhlich of Gaardlund, pass along my recommendation for my son. I
expect him to courageously continue in our family's great heritage. 

It is my hope that my son will be accepted into the ranks of our knighthood.
Let his honor be his life, as it is mine.
