Subject A walk in the streets...

The streets were quiet, well as quiet as they can be in Neraka at 1 in the
morning. The late drunkard singing could be heard from varios inns and
quarters throughout the city.

I made my...unobtrusively through the alleyways, sporting a cloak much too
large for me. I was not merely on a midnight walk for the pleasure of it, no,
this was purely business, and the business was promised to be good. I needed
the money, work was short these days. "What might we have here my comrades?
Does this little creature have something we desire?"

Damnit, I thought. Just what I needed a gang to boost me now, I hated when
they called me small.

"Awww, the poor little guy can't even say anything, what are you anyway some
kind of deformed little goblin, or don't tell me your a dwarf, ugliest dwarf
I've ever seen." And then the nerve....he laughed at me. I hate it when they
do that, I was slightly ticked.

I glanced around to assess the situation and I was mildly suprised, only 3 of
them. I sighed and pulled my hood back, revealing a completely smooth head and
chin, and a scared face.

"I rather enjoy being called deformed, does give me reason to kill you now. I
will give you ten seconds to run before I kill you." I smiled and removed my
cloak.

The Leader, an overgrown hobgoblin, came first, and axe in one hand, a dagger
in the other.

While he charged, my right hand went to my waist, whipping out a dagger in
plain sight. My left hand dangled at my side, a small dagger coming down the
sleeve into my palm "DIE you little piece of shiT!" were his last words before
he died.

I moved to my right, foot out, right hand swinging down as he tripped.

The dagger ended up at the nape of his neck, snapping his verterbrae, he was
dead before he landed.

In the same momentum, my left hand flew out, sending the dagger towards the
other goblin.

He took it like a man, in the neck. The other goblin looked at me...and then
turned and ran.

I quickly retrieved the leader's axe and hefted it in my hand, good weight,
and threw it. I was aiming for the back but I was a little off, he took it in
the head. I winced as it hit.

Now at this point, I was feeling a little cocky, my ego boosted by my
spectacular skills. Until I felt a burning pain in my right shoulder and saw
an arrow pointing through.

"You Bastard, That hurt." I said as I turned around to face my assailant. A
sleeper, of course, he had been hiding in the back, waiting the whole time. He
notched another arrow and I could see his face curl into an evil grin as he
let the arrow go.

I dived to my left, the arrow nicking the back of my calf, it stung like hell.
"Oh your going to pay for that you little piece of shit." I yelled as I
landed. "Only when I take everything from you. Your a dead man" He let
out...well a laugh I suppose.

But he did have a point. I was dead unless I could do something, get close to
him. I knew I should have learned to use one of those tricky bows, but I
hadn't. Then I had it! I knew what I had to do. It would probably hurt, but I
might survive. I ran to my cloak and picked it up, just in time for his 3rd
arrow to come whipping at me. The arrow struck as I spun around screaming in
pain, and then I fell to the ground in silence.

He cackled with glee and quickly loped over to me, excited about his fresh
kill. I wasn't dead, far from it actually, but he was. I head bashed him and
got up behind him. I snapped his neck. He was certainly dead. Well that
certainly put a damper on the evening.

I walked away quickly before anyone saw me and went to treat my wounds before
I met my client.

More to come...
