The Great Library of Palanthas

An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Delve.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap is at 65. You change? Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a gorgious hardback on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Delve' scribed in faded purple ink.

Sargonnas's Tablet Journals

Entry #1 My acolyte returned with his reports from Skull Knight
Wulfgar, and
his recent success in New OfCol. The information I received was
particularly
mundane although I was pleased to learn he wiped out the
Solamnics, despite
great losses.

The area is good for recruiting and it will not be long befor
Wulfgar is able
to amass new troops to take place of ones lost.

One interesting artifact did arrive in my acolytes possession.
The object is
a black slate rock about 8 inches in diameter. The edges are
smooth and there
is an as of late, unknown language etched into the plate. The
writing is
inlaid with a red dye, perhaps blood. I will begin studies on the
object this
evening after I have met with Lord Danvighar for our War Council.

Entry #2 I found an old translation prayer in one of my books
from days long
past. After I gathered some other miscellaneous odds and ends I
needed for my
study on the object, I used the prayer to interpret the writing
on the slate.
The writing originates from the isle of Mithas and seems to be an
old dialect
of the Minotaurian tongue. It tells of a story of a battle on
Mithas long ago
between two wealthy minotaur land owners. Due to wear on the
artifact the
complete story is not legible, but I have sent my student Kildas
to learn more
of the tale.

Entry #3 After many months of battle we were fortunate enough to
take the High
Clerist Tower today. I've moved my quarters from a tent at the
encampment into
the library on the 11th floor of the Tower. It's much more
comfortable here
and the distance from the troops allows me peace of mind.

After completing my research of the spells on the tablet this
evening, I was
able to unlock the key to the spells. Performing the rituals
required to
activate the them greatly drained me and I find myself struggling
to stay
awake. Anyhow, Sargonnas's tablet has offered us an upper hand,
maybe we will
even be able to take back Palanthas. I sleep tonight with renewed
hope for our
conquest.
