Author: Dither Date: Fri Nov 2 16:50:05 2007 Subject A sunny day exploring with Brim I was spening a lovely afternoon in Palanthas feeding the stray dogs and shooting the breeze with some city guards. The sun shone bright in the sky on this Day of Dream Dance, on the 24th the Month of Spring Dawning. I really had not considered venturing too much out of the city due to recent incidents on far journies, however I came about a kender. He was very young, refreshing, and bubbly. He immediately asked for my name, just trying to make another friend. He held many pouches and trinkets, joyfully playing with his many toys. We sat for a while, just chatting about recent events, and things of interest. For me, life had been uneventful that day, but this Kender gladly made some suggestions to cure our bordeom. He told me of a man that owned some interesting Albino Leggings that was trying to get them off his hands. I had heard about this fellow before, but was not quite sure where he resided. The kender assured me he could lead the way. We travelled east of Palanthas into a small clearing, searching for the entrance into Gully. We must have missed it a few times, but we eventually found the shithole. It reaked of horrid rotten meat and maggot infested trash. We made sure we passed through this place quickly, staying there for no more than a minute. After flinging to Solace, we were able to relax a bit. So we stopped for a few seconds to enjoy the shade under the Vallenwoods. I asked him "I'm sorry I did not catch your name. What do they call you?" "I'm Brim, mister. Please forgive me, I thought told you already." "Maybe so, but I'm horrible at remembering names." "I'd suggest you remember next time.... I might accidently drop my Hoopak on your head. Just kidding." He proceeded to chuckle to himself. We stood then proceed east towards Tantallon. It must had not been a few hours when we came upon a mage. Screaming "this is the tower of Balcome, exit now!" We scurried around a corner trying to avoid conflict. He didn't see us, but we snook around the moat, entering through a side door to get to the living quarters. Brim beckon me to follow him, as I graciously did. He lead me to aman clad in white armor. I wispered in Brim's ear, "what is his name?" He replied, "Rosrever." The gentleman asked what we were there for, and we inquired about the leggings that he had for sale. He quickly gave glanced at us, lifted one eyebrow, then looked at Brim. He exclaimed, "Brim!!! I have not seen you in forever!!" Brim said, "I know it's been a while. We just dropped by to purchase some leggings." The man pulled out a bag, then simply gave us the clothing. I was a bit tired, but Brim wanted to show me a secret. He lead me out the door into a small hallway, then finally to a room that I had not noticed before. A minotaur stood before us, sorting through some packs. He was Brim's right-hand man, an almost servant. Brim told me that he would grant me some items for travelling with him through this journey, and demanded that I ask for anything. I thought long and hard, until I finally came up with something I could use. "I could use a Green Linen Backpack and a Long Bow." The minotaur pulled out many packs, searching for these things. He found them, then handed them to me smiling. I was thoroughly impressed by this random act of kindness. At this point, I said thank you, asked where I could locate these fellows again, then we parted ways.
