The Great Library of Palanthas

An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Dreis.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap is at 80. You change? Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a tattered paperback on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Dreis' scribed in glowing blue ink.

Subject From farmhand to to novice.

Born to a family of
farmhands near the city of Solace Dreis never would
have thought he would end up
where he did. He was nothing more than a mere
stable boy and cow milker till he
was nearly 10 years old. It was then that
he saw an illusionist at the harvest
festival in Haven when he decided right
then and there that he was going to be a
greate mage one day himself. It
took him 2 years of pleading and begging his
father to send him to the
novice school near town before his father finally
caved in and allowed it.
He lived in the dorms at the school from fall through
spring and lived with
his father back near Solace during the summer while his
processor was away
at meetings with his fellow mages. During this time Dreis
would work with
his father back on the farm to help offset the cost of his
tuition some.

After years of study Dreis moved from Solace to Palanthas to
further his
studies. Taking up residence near the great library of Palanthas so
he could
remain in study with as few disruptions as possible. And that leads us
to
now. The rest of his story has yet to be told. From now on his story is
for
him to tell.
