Author: Glaevanis Date Sun Jul 14 13:13:39 2002 Subject An apprentice. A young Silvanesti approaches the circle of Masters. "Most honorable Masters," he begins "I wish to relate the tale of... myself." He giggles internally as the mages take in his countenance with a myriad of looks. Some quite bored, some thoughtful, most seem just anxious to be out of the uncomfortable chairs and on with their day. Where to start.. he thinks. "I was born the third son of Bromenthalis, Master of house Aesit, of Silvanost." he almost yawned as the statement bored him surely as much as it did the venerable mages. "My life as of yet has lacked direction Masters," he recites, for his father had drummed the words into his head repeatedly, repeating them back was no chore of memory. "I have found a calling in the ways of the arts, so my father tells me." He stops for a brief moment to quench his thirst upon a tome resting on the table. "My apologies Masters," he stammeres, quickly averting his gaze then glancing from eye to eye as an any accomplished speaker will "My journey was long, and full of many unexpected surprises." "Ah yes, my calling" he continues, "The fire in my blood good Magi, is the same fire within all of our blood here. It is the calling of the knowledge, my only want is to further my learning..." he pauses momentarily as the binding of the tome catches his eye once again. "I only hope that I can live up to the leggacy my father spreads before me Magi," he halts... "I hope that I can live up to the leggacy that I myself set in motion." He pauses, noting the expressions upon the faces of the Magi at the table. A black robe at the end of the table is twiddling his thumbs with impatience. "Honorable Masters" he continues, "My fate is upon your hands." With this said, he bows deeply and backs up to await the decisions. Glaevanis Aesit, apprentice hopeful.
