The Great Library of Palanthas

An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Imadra.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap is at 65. You change? Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a worn tome on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Imadra' scribed in deep yellow ink.

The room just didn't smell that good...or
maybe it was the people in the
room. Imadra walked quietly down
the steps of the house south of Palanthas,
turning up her nose at
the smell coming from, pretty much, most of the
patrons. The
girls, both serving and 'other', also had an odor to them.

To
combat the assault on her nose, Imadra turned around and returned
to her
room upstairs. She quickly put on clothing so that she
could venture outside
the house and made her way back down the
stairs. The house matron met her on
the porch outside the house.
"Where do you go, Imadra?" she asked, seeing
the garmets on her
old friend. Imadra turned back to the matron. "I tire of
this
place, Syrra. We do the same things every day...regardless of
the
'freshness' of them. I want to find a new
adventure...something more
tailored to me. I want to find..." she
said, trailing off as Syrra waved her
hand. "You want to find
another of the waves," Syrra interrupted. Imadra
laughed. "You
know, perhaps I do, but I will never know if I continue to
stay
here," came Imadra's reply. Syrra nodded, returning to the
entrance of
the house. She stopped, turning only her head. "You
know you have a place to
return to here. If things turn out
different than that you want...I'll keep
the room open for you."
Imadra nodded, heading toward Palanthas.

A few days later,
Imadra returned to the house, her garmets travel stained
and
dirty. Syrra smiled at her friend, motioning Imadra into a
private
chamber near the bar. Imadra joined Syrra there, relating
the tales of her
trip. She finished the tale with only the
words..."If I've peaked his
interest, he'll be drawn here. It
will be then that I see IF I made the
right choice."

Subject And interest is peaked

She
sat, watching the interactions of the people in the house with
little
interest...until a stranger entered and she heard him
reference meeting
someone. Imadra looked up, seeing the man for
the first time. She looked him
over with a smile. She had managed
to peak his interest with her note...and
he had traveled out of
the safety of Palanthas to see her.

She spoke with him, letting
him judge for himself to see if he was
interested. Yet in the
end, he did follow her.
