The Great Library of Palanthas

An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Jaeva.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap is at 80. You change? Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a metal bound tome on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Jaeva' scribed in rich yellow ink.

Author: Jaeva

Subject Prelude of a journey.

Day of Nuindai, 8th the Month
of Rannmont.
Currently living in: Yarus

Today i was playing by the well. There
isnt much to do in Yarus, im really
bored of my life here but my mother doesnt
want me to leave just yet. My two
younger brothers still find it fun to chase
after frogs and lizards around
the well, but i think its silly now. The only
interesting things to do
around here is to hang out with the old couple at the
Kingfisher's Inn and
wait for any incoming travelers.

In the rare ocassion,
some visitors will come to that strange looking
establishment the Red Silk.
Mother says its not a nice place to be at, and
most likely you dont want to be
seen near it. I still wonder what she means
by that. I wonder when will be time
for mother to let me go to the city. Its
not that far away and im sure I could
borrow a donkey from the old woman. Im
sure i could maybe meet someone who knew
dad. He disappeared a few years
back on an assignment with the Knigh ts. And for
a strange reason they
havent been able to tell us where he went.

Hopefully one
of these days i can convince mother to let me go. I am soon to
be 18, and i
believe i can take good care of myself. well maybe i can
practice some more, but
im sure Habbakuk will lend me his strength in that
dreamful journey.
