The Great Library of Palanthas

An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Kiania.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap is at 65. You change? Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a pamphlet on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Kiania' scribed in faded blue ink.

story

Kiania stares at the setting sun and quietly cries to
herself.
With no rain for months, the time had finally come to
leave her home.
She looks down one more time at the barren field,
that was once
a bountiful garden. Kiania stares up at the sky
and speaks in a clear voice,

"My home is forsaken, the seeds
are gathered, a new path I will seek."

She grabs a large pouch
of seed and begins her walk down a dusty road.
Stomach
rumbling, Kiania quickens her pace in search of food.
In the
distance she hears a piercing howl, and it can only mean
trouble.

"If I get out of this alive, I'll plant the most
wonderful garden."

*Crunch* *Crunch*

High up in a
tree, a dark form is crunching on a bone and staring
down at
Kiania. Goosebumps begin to form on Kiana's arms and she
starts
to run at full speed away from the grotesque
being.

**CRUNCH**

Kiania heard that final crunch and then
everything faded to black.
She's limp, barely breathing, and the
attacker moves in for the kill.
The beast opens it's mouth wide,
it's sharpened teeth ready for a bite.
By her side, a bag begins
to shake and glow. The creature is
startled and quickly runs
off, leaving Kiania to bleed alone.

Several hours later, she
awakes to pain, cold and hunger. But she is alive.

"My body
is beaten, the memory is planted, revenge I will seek."
