An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Lajiwan.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap is at 80. You change? Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a worn folio on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Lajiwan' scribed in light brown ink.

I, Lajiwan, was born to a poor couple
of farmhands on the outskirts of
palanthas. My parents were just ordinary boring
humans. They spent their
entire lives on the farm tending cattle, chickens, and
pigs. i was the 6th
child, i had 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Noone in my family
was very fond of
magic users. None of them had ever really known a magic user,
but most
people around our village disliked them, and my family went along with
them.
Strange things had always happened around me ever since i was born.
I
suspect my parents knew it was magic, but they tried to ignore it, and
tried
stifle my abilities. But even at a young age, my powers were strong,
and
hard to ignore. I didnt live on the farm long, but i remember how much
i
hated it. it was very boring, and i wasnt built physically for labor. at
the
age of 5 yrs old i gathered what little clothes i had, and packed as
much
food as i could into a bucket, and set off on my own. I didnt have much of
a
plan, but i had heard alot about the city of palanthas, and i wanted to
see
it. The trip to the city was long, and all the way i worried that i
was
going in the wrong direction. I caught a ride on a caravan, and within a
few
days i arrived at the city. The buildings were the largest things i had
ever
seen. There were so many people it was amazing. I met a young couple
who
agreed to let me stay with them. They had a large basement that they
never
used. It was perfect for me, just like home. i soon found a job at the
local
potion shop. The job was simple, and allowed me plenty of time to
practice
magic. I had met alot of customers that told me of a place i could go
to
learn magic and refine my skills. i was scared to go, scared i would
be
rejected. But now at the age of 17 i feel i am ready. I will go to
this
school, and i will be the greatest mage the world has ever known!

Lately ive had ample time to myself, due to
losing my job at the potion
shop. Since i had always wondered why i had been the
only magic user in my
family, i decided to use this time to put together a
family tree. During my

During my investigating, i discovered there was a another
magic user in my
family, a distant relative, but a relative none the less. His
name was
Lucifurdingo. I was able to track down where he lived, and went there
to
find out more. After a few days, i started slowing gaining

After a few days, i started slowing gaining information.
Lucifurdingo had
long passed away, but his grandchildren still lived in the
area. i
eventually found them and explained who i was. They were hesitant to
believe
me, but i eventually gained their trust. It was a great feeling to be
around
family who were like me. I wanted badly to move there, but i knew i
couldnt,
the conclave was my home now. After a wonderful week there, i packed
my
things and got ready to go. before leaving i noticed a book had appeared
in
my dufflebag, a curious spellbook. i told my family about it and asked
if
they had put it there. They told me the book had been in their family
for
ages, It had belonged to lucifurdingo, and their father after him. They
said
it was a strange book, with a mind of its own, and it always seemed to
find
its way to its true owner. So they said i might as well keep it, for if
i
wasnt its owner it would find its way back to them eventually. I thanked
them
heartily and went on my way. This new book will come in handy, i cant
wait to
read it.
