The Great Library of Palanthas

An Aesthetic shows you to the private room of Marpo. You spy a beautiful young Palanthian woman showering across the way, her window wide open, with a start you then you fall out the back door, trip over some refuse, land upon your rear end behind a trash can and spy a book...

Hiding behind a trash can

It's dirty, dingy, stinky, and not a clean thing to sit upon. But there is a small children's table and apparently a book upon it.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Marpo.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a worn tome on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Marpo' scribed in dull orange ink.

Author: Marpo

Subject A cold night by the waterfront.

The small gully dwarf, well I suppose all gully dwarves are considered small,
but this is my story so bear with me... where was I, oh yes...

The small gully dwarf crawled behind the crate and covered himself with some
loose papers and a dirty rag he had found. He sniffled quietly to himself as the
cold seemed to bite less when he sniffled.

His little hands were dark with grime, flecks of blood here and there from the
rats his type were so fond of. Every single nail on his fingers was cracked and
dirty, yet you rarely saw his fingers as they were usually stuffed deep into his
stinking clothing, or wrapped around that little bottle of grog he had grown so
accustomed to.

"Gully just want home" he lamented, as the wind picked up down the wharf.

A bit of blackness, darker than the night itself, detached from the wall of a
nearby tavern and quietly appeared next to his side.

Marpo's eyes nearly jumped from his poor little head as the voice appeared next
to him as if by magic. "Lost are we little one?" the silky voice of the man
inquired.

"ME NOT LOST" Marpo barked as he fell backwards and rolled over the tail of the
alley cat sharing his warmth.. 'SCREEEEEEEEE" the cat hissed and darted down the
street with its tail a brush with fury.

The paper now covering his head made for quite an amusing hat as the small aghar
climbed up from behind the crate and looked around.

"The name, is Soulcatcher young dwarf, and I only offer a warm place to lay your
head" the man casually stated as he beckoned to an open door the dwarf hadn't
noticed before.

With a second's hesitation, the little aghar ran quickly through the opening and
into the warmth beyond.

"Ahhh Sanctuary" the thief chuckled, as he wave his ring and the opening
disappeared from view just as quickly.

Marpo, through the eyes of a narrator of course.
