The Great Library of Palanthas

An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Mystearica.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap is at 65. You change? Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places an elegant book bound in elf-skin on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Mystearica' scribed in faded purple ink.

Subject Mystearica's backstory

I was
born in Qim Sudri, the City of Stone. My father is silvanesti,
and
basically left us when she was still pregnant. I dont think
he ever knew
that she was pregnant. I lived in that desert city
my whole life. When i got
older, my mother noticed my
intelligence and wisdom, along with my hardiness
and strength,
and asked me if i wanted to join the army. pushes a young
squire
into the next room! I quickly agreed, i didnt want to stay in
that
town anymore than i had to. I was trained in the
intelligence division, my
first mission was to head out and find
a powerful artifact that had
supposedly resurfaced in a
neighboring country. Me and a small group of
troops headed out,
only to find that it wasnt an artifact, it was an army.
we were
led straight into the front lines of the enemy army, who
was
"hiding" out in this area, waiting for an opportune time to
strike. I
immediately withdrew and took the troops back, and told
my commanding
officer, whom i had befriended. My commanding
officer, Legretta, told me to
flee. Apparently, I was wanted
dead, and that she had already packed my
things in her private
quarters. she came back with them, along with some
fireld
rations. I quickly thanked her and left, hoping to one day repay
her
somehow. I left and lived with a friend of the family, who
was a Magi in the
Conclave. Interested, I asked if he could teach
me the basics. He was old of
age, and died not six months after
agreeing to teach me. With incomplete
training, i headed out,
looking for another Magi.

I traveled long and hard, ending up in
Palanthas.
