Author: Sasha Date: Sat Jan 27 20:26:10 2007 Subject A Lost Soul Deep from within the forests I travelled. For many a moon my feet led me out into the world. I saw many wonders and powers of many differant people. But I also many horrible things and abuses of power. Destruction of lives, of nature, of souls. It is enough to make one crawl into a hole and cry. Though I can still see a small ray of hope through it all. One must believe that the good in the world will overcome the evils of the world. When we stop believing that, you begin to aid the darkness and its spread will envelop the world faster then the shadows of the dragons. After time too long seeing the horrors that have cosumed the people of this world, my ray of light began to wan. It was within the city of Solace that I saw that goodness was still strong and gaining ground on the darkness. It was within the Inn of the Last Home, I came upon a travelling kender, though truth be told all kender I have met travel great distances. They are kind hearted people, who wish to help but are so misunderstood. This little kender and I struck up a conversation, we talked for many an hour and to recount it all now would bore you and would bring tears to your eyes. For we spoke of everything and nothing. The weather to the strengthing of the Knights of Takhisis It was all spoken of. This kender whom I spoke with, seemed well traveled and knowledgable. I pressed him for information on places where I had not traveled, and of the interesting peoples and things he had seen upon his journeys. At one point he looked around carefully, ande pulled out of a pouch a round object, that was mainly blue, but with some brown and green pieces that he said represented the lands of Kyrnn. He called it globe, and for many hours it held my fasincation, for a kender he patiently answeared my questions as he seemed learned about this information. I offered to pay him for this treasure, its beauty still having me entranced, but he would take nothing that I could offer. He gladly passed this globe onto me saying only that when the time comes to pass it onto another worthy person, one who has a need for its knowledge and beauty. It was nearing dawn at this time and I was preparing to go on my way. He saw the patched and worn leather drinking skin that I had asked the bar keep to fill, and he offered a beautifully sewen colourful canteen. Bowing low I expressed my grattitude to him to his kindness. I felt ashamed to have so little to offer to him as a gift, but within my pack, I gave to him polish black boar leather belt. As I left the inn and the sun shone in, I looked back one last time to say farewell, but could not see the kender, its as though he vanished.
