The Great Library of Palanthas

An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Tobeo.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap is at 65. You change? Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a concise treatise on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Tobeo' scribed in unearthly yellow ink.

Author: Tobeo

Subject Tobeo's "story"

The son of an elven mother and human father Tobeo was shunned by
both humans and
elves. A Halfling they called him among other things. His
childhood was a tough
and sheltered one, in that he and his parents lived miles from
any town.

Needless to say other then his parents Tobeo had no friends other
then the
woodland creatures that he came to know and respect.

His father a once mighty knight was reduced to nothing more then
a hunter in
order to provide for his family.

His mother a beautiful elven archer at one point in time was now
a simple house
wife. Both forsaken from their homes for the love they shared.

As the years passed and Tobeo grew, he learned from both his
mother and father
the ways of the sword and bow.

Killing only what he needed to survive he honed his skills in
hunting, track,
and forging. He was one with nature.

Moving through the wild one day he came across a few human men
setting new and
checking old traps.

As he followed these men they came across a small bear cub caught
in snare.

Looking on to see what the men might do Tobeo quietly drew his
sword and lay in
wait. One man leapt towards the helpless bear sword in hand
swiping at it's
head.

Jumping out of the bush Tobeo's sword clashed with that of the
mans in a
thunderous bang. Shocked the man jumped back. What do you think
you are
doing?! Tobeo says as he kneels down to free the small cub.

Without an answer the three men charged Tobeo.

Though reluctant he used the skills taught to him by his mother
and father he
was able to free the cub and leave with his life which is more
then the 3 men
left with...

Returning home he told his parents everything, about the bear,
and the men.

From that moment on he trained day in and day out to better his
skills in order
to protect the woods in which he lived.
