An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Treikh.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap is at 65. You change? Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places an elegant book bound in elf-skin on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Treikh' scribed in dull green ink.

Subject Treikh's past

As a child, Treikh was very different from the other children.
Rather
than spending his time playing games, he was constantly learning.
 Ther
children. Rather than spending his time playing games, he was
constantly learning. He had an early interest in magic, and as a
young
child surprised his parents by creating his own meals using
magic.
Throughout his education, Treikh was continually the top student
in his
classes. He surprised all his teachers by doing some things even
they
couldn't do. His parents, who were both mages, were very proud
of him
and hoped that he might one day become a member of the Conclave.
They
also had dreamed to join the Conclave at Treikh's age, but a
large fire
had injured them and destroyed their chances of joining. Treikh,
eager
to fulfill his parents' dreams, decided to do his best to join
the White
Robes of the Conclave. He also loved the idea of being in
company with
other mages similar to himself. Treikh had many chances during
his
childhood to train his magical skills. He had many frightening
experiences, but he rescued himself and others on many occasions
because
of his clear thinking during those times. Once on his birthday,
a giant
troll attacked Treikh's house. Treikh put his magic skills to
work and
immediately rushed out to defeat the troll. His parents were
utterly
astonished when he defeated the troll with a giant fireball, for
they
had not taught him any such thing. Treikh had a habit for
learning
things on his own, and because of this, he achieved levels of
magical
skills that surpassed those of his fellow students. When Treikh
came of
age, he didn't immediately set his mind on joining the Conclave
because
he was unsure he was good enough for the Conclave. He had an
appetite
for perfection, and because of this he went into the depths of
Ansalon
to train by himself. Treikh learned many things during his
explorations, not only about magic, but also weaponry and
agility.
After years of training in solitude, he had nearly forgotten
about his
dream to join the Conclave, but it was resurrected when he met a
Black
Robe, who urged him to petition. Now Treikh hopes to join the
famed
White Robes and fight for good in Ansalon.
