The Great Library of Palanthas

An Aesthetic shows you to a small reading room.

Stories of Ansalon from the view of Zielna.

A little gully dwarf runs by and says 'Wordwrap is at 65. You change? Off 65 80.'
The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a beautiful hard bound book on the table in front of you.
You note the spine bears the word 'Zielna' scribed in deep green ink.

Author: Zielna
Date: Sat Aug 28

Subject Green Sea

It started like any
other day for Zielna. She went out, foraged for
supplies and
returned to her home. Then the unusual happened. The lines
she
had dropped into the water to catch fish had nothing on them.
She dove into
the water to investigate, but came up empty handed.
Shaking her head, she
swam a bit farther, noticing that the sea
life had seemed to evaporate from
sight.

She returned to her
home just outside of Palanthas and packed up what she
had managed
to gather and started toward the city to sell the foodstuffs
to
the locals. Along the way, she heard the talk of the strange
green that
seemed to settle over the coastline and the damage
that had been done to the
docks. Curious, she decided to take a
look and see for herself.

She was startled at the amount of
damage to the docks. She dropped her packs
in a safe place and
slipped off the docks, swimming under them to look for
more
damage. Luckily nothing under the water had been harmed, as far
as she
could tell, but still the sight of no fish worried her.
Pulling herself back
up from the water, she carefully wandered
the streets, listening for more
about the strange happening.
