Zyron took a seat in his usual place at a tavern located in Palanthas. After
ordering some ale he began to contemplate about his past and the paths he had
traveled thus far.

He had a rather dull childhood, being the son of two poor clerics who lived in
a small village near Neraka. His father had dreams of one day becoming a
Knight of Takhisis, but those dreams were taken from him when he was ambushed
and murdered by a pair of rogue thieves. Grief stricken his mother abandoned
him while he was only a few winters old. He grew up as an orphan, labeled a
bastard by many, he kept to himself for most of his childhood. He lived off
the kindness of fellow villagers till the age of thirteen, when he decided to
leave his small village in search of other things. He eventually found himself
in the city known as Sanction where he met an old cleric in search of an
apprentice. For some reason this old man took him in, seeing some sort of
potential within him, although he had only minimal knowledge of the art of
healing. The days turned into months, months into years, until he stood before
his masters grave, growing up from a boy to a man, being 20 years of age.
After thanking the old man in prayer for the knowledge and skills he had
bestowed on him he left Sanction and journeyed on. He eventually made his way
to Palanthas where he had hopes of joining an order known as the Holy Order.

Waking up after seemingly dosing off, Zyron finds a few empty glasses of ale
besides him along with an angry barmaid. After settling his debt he walks
outside and holds onto a pendant of Takhisis, a keepsake of his deceased
master and continues on.
