This area is part of the Abanasinia region and is intended for levels 1 to 101.

Solace is the town that has earned a degree of notoriety. It is the place where the Heroes of the Lance met and in some cases grew up. The Inn of the Last Home and its owner, Otik, are both in Solace. You can always tell you're near the Inn of the Last Home by the scent of his famous Spiced Potatoes drifting through the air amongst the vallenwoods. Those immense trees nestle the entire town of Solace in their boughs, and survived the War of the Lance more or less intact.

Solace, while not being as large as some of the cities of Solamnia, still holds considerable value to the average player. Amongst the homes of the citizens of the town, you can find various businesses to attend to your needs. Some of those businesses include:

An Apothecary, Banker, Clothing Shop, Craft Shop, Fletcher, General Store, The Inn of the Last Home (with a butcher's shop inside), a Jeweler, Leather Shop, Map Shop, Magic Shop, Pet Store, Trapper's Shop, and a Trainer.

Below the town itself, you can find an Armorer, Weaponsmith, Auction House, and Ferry. If you venture into Lake Crystalmir, be sure you're a good swimmer, or have a boat.

Along with the businesses, a guild for every class is also available for players to practice their skills and spells as well as gain some new ones, should they desire to. Scattered throughout the walkways of Solace are also temples dedicated to every deity of the neutral pantheon. The Elder, who is very near the Inn of the Last Home, is always looking for help in various matters for those with a desire to adventure or make a little cash, or both.

Some of the people you'll meet in Solace will also have various tasks that they need your help with. Pay close attention when someone talks to you, as they may have something interesting to say indeed.
