This means if the MUD has been up for days upon days since the last copyover, you will find mobs with many hours and as such are worth up to 3x the usual experience. Combine that with a decent leveling party, fighting mobs that are opposite of your align and decent level and you're kicking ascii!

Your character advances in power by gaining experience. You need a set amount of experience points for each level based on your creation points.

Gain experience by:

1. Being part of a group that kills a monster
2. Getting better at a skill or spell while using that skill/spells.
3. Questing
4. Stealing

Lose experience by:

1. Dying
2. Being the target of certain spells


Leveling Tips:

1. Group with Players!!
Each player in your group adds exp for every kill.
1 Player - no bonus
2+ Players - 10% bonus PER player (max 200% exp)
2. Kill things of opposite alignment from yourself (or no align)
3. Kill things that have survived for a long time.
This means like the out of the way mobs, if a mob
has lived for 300 hours? It's worth 2x exp, otherwise
it will give 1% more exp for each hour it's lived.
