Wisdom is part of your character Score, it is how wise your character currently is.

You find it displayed as: WIS: 14(22) [18] The first being Permanent or Trained stat, the second is current stat due to equipment or spell effects, the last being how high you can train your maximum.

Wisdom affects spell casting damage, how many practices you gain when you increase levels, mana gains when resting, as well as improving spells and skills through usage.
