Author: Padith Date: Sat Jan 17 03:55:45 2009 Subject potion ingredient quest Padith was beckoned to Rostanes study, Hello 'Padith' have a seat I will be with you in a second Rostane said as Padith walked in to the study, never looking up. As soon as Rostane finished his report. He turned and faced Padith and said you seem to be coming along good with your studies. Today we start learning how to make potions but first I need you to go gather the ingredients. The first two you can buy at the local herb shop but the third you need is troll fat. Troll fat Padith! Exclaimed: How am I supposed to get that? he asked. Rostane chuckled yes troll fat. You need to find a troll and get some from it. Its not really hard to get just find a troll den, sneak in and find the smallest one you can find and lure it away kill the nasty little thing and save as much of the fat as you can get. As Rostane finished telling Padith the details, a servant of Rostanes entered the room and whispered something into his ear. Rostane then turned to Padith and said, well I'm sorry but I have something that needs my attention. You can go ahead and start your journey by the time you get back I should be ready to start helping you with this potion. With this Padith stood, bowed and left the room. It was fairly early in the morning when Padith left. Padith had decided to go straight to palanthas and get the troll fat first he figured that he could pick up the other two ingredients on his way back. It was about mid-day when Padith made it to Palanthas. he headed to the tavern we he got to town the get some more information on the location of the troll den. The inn keeper told him the exact directions on how to get there so packing up his stuff making sure he had everything he needed to make his trip a successful one. As Padith got close to the troll den he decided to use his spell of invisibility to sneak in to the den. Not remembering witch troll to go after Padith decried lure a large male troll off figuring that the troll would have lots of fat that he could stock pile it up and trade or sell some at the local herb and ingredient shop. But when Padith started to cast the charm spell on the large troll he failed and soon found himself fighting with about four trolls. The first went down quickly as Padith cast a lighting bolt spell witch was direct hit in the trolls face. The second was just a little bit bigger and was able to withstand about three lighting bolts. the third hit Padith in the middle of his chest making it to where Padith couldn't cast any spells. Padith finally caught his breath and immediately cast his magic missile spell and it made short work of the troll. And the fourth had slipped in behind Padith. just as the troll raised his club up to hit Padith he turned and stuck the troll in the neck with his dagger. Padith had decided to get as much of the troll fat as he could and sneak out before he got caught being in the den. Finally making it back to Palanthas Padith decided to go and stay at the inn. Padith set out at first light the next morning to head back to the conclave's tower. Just as Padith was getting ready to leave solace he remembered he needed to go to the herb and ingredient shop to get the other two items he needed to make his potions. Finally returning to the tower he found that Rostane was waiting for him. He bowed as he entered Rostanes study and began to tell him of his journey and mistake of trying to charm the troll. Padith handed the ingredients over to Rostane.
