The gully continues 'Eyes hurt? Turn Color OFF!! (regular story dates)

Astinus says 'Enter the main library here to view only the author list.'
Astinus gently places a small book on the table in front of you.

"Do you
think they're really out there?" She asked quietly.

The stars
shone in the blackened night sky, the moon Solinarii
illuminating
the white sandy beach where two kender lay side by
side with their feet in
the water.

The waves from Monster Bay
lapped gently at the shore, washing little
crustaceans onto the
sand only to be pulled back into the bay with the
ebbing tide.
The soft rustling of the beach grass being moved by the
warm
summer breeze coupled with the sand, still warm from the
sun, had lulled
both kender into contentment after a busy day of
hunting for goatsuckers and
fishing.

"What are out there?"
Arca replied in a sleepy voice.

"Those gods that people talk
about."

Languidly, Arca rolled onto his side, propped his head
in his hand and
smiled cheerfully at her. "Of course they are,
Ribbon."

Ribbon pursed her lips and stared thoughtfully at
the sky. "I suppose you're
right." She said after a short
pause.

Taking her eyes off the sky, she looked at Arca with a
far away look in her
eyes. Out of the blue, her arm shot out and
punched him in the shoulder.
"You should tell me about them!"
She exclaimed while hitting him again.

Laughing, Arca blocked
the next punch and tried to fight back, but was no
match for
Ribbon's quickness.

"Ow! Alright, I'll tell you!" Arca said,
swatting away another barrage of
fists. Ribbon clapped her hands
happily and made a moation for him to go
on.

"If you look
there, " he pointed at a grouping of stars. "That's
the
constellation of Paladine. He's a shiny dragon, you know!"
He paused as
Ribbon "oohed" and "ahhed". "And that one there,
" Arca traced his finger to
a constellation directly across
from Paladine's. "That one is Takhisis.
She's a meany face."
He concluded solemnly.

Theatrically, Arca looked around
suspiciously before whispering, "I even
heard from my uncle
Thistletrap she doesn't even like kender!"

He paused as
Ribbon huffed indignantly and made face towards
Takhisis's
constellation. "How rude! How could ou not like
kender? I mean, just look at
us, we're fabulous!" With a final
glare at the sky, Ribbon looked at Arca
again, her eyes gleaming.
"Tell me more, tell me more!" She said excitedly
as she
punched him again in the shoulder.

Arca rubbed his hsoulder in
mock pain. "Not if you keep punching me, I
won't!"

Ribbon's
expression suddenly dropped and she sat up, clasping her hands
in
front of her. "Please!? Please, please, oh please!?" She
gave Arca her best
puppy dog eyes.

Arca grinned and sat up.
"Ok, ok. You see those stars over there?" He
pointed and
Ribbon looked with rapt attention. "That one there
is
Mishakal..."
