As a royal daughter, one tends to lead a sheltered life, protected by everyone, from everything. As long as I can remember, I have had guards within earshot, whether I wanted them or not. After a couple decades, it becomes something you just get used to. It was quickly learned that I have magic in my blood, and I was sent away to hone this magic. Now, when I say sent away, I don't mean I was sent to the far reaches of Ansalon. Sent away, as a royal child, means you board at the school, instead of the palace. So, I've been boarding at the school for a while, kept seperate from the other students after class. It's for my protection, they say, I think it's overkill, personally. Finally, my parents have agreed to back off the security. Author: Maddocks Date: Mon Aug 17 14:09:12 2009 Subject new history At first I lived in a cave. At age 5 I started learning about magic. Author: Maddocks Date: Tue Aug 18 23:27:55 2009 Subject The Finding of Magic The first time I encountered my own magic I was playing with my friends and one of them just started rising off of the ground. We were scared because we didn't know what was going on. We ran to our parents and told them. Luckily one of them spoke some words and the boy slowly floated down. I found out later that I could use magic and that I was the one that made the kid rise. I went to the man that dispelled the levitation and asked him to teach me. He accepted. I quickly mastered the art, and moved beyond what he could teach me and set off to find someone more powerful to teach me. While I was looking for someone, I fell into a band of mercenaries. They helped me gain experience in battle, but my art has seemed to suffer. I long to find others that can teach me further in the art; but till then, here I am with a band of mercenaries and looking for more.
