Subject an Awakening

Many years ago I walked among the quick
living and more populus peoples
of Kyrnn. For though they did not live as long
as we, they still had some
knowledge which could be gleaned from their minds.
Some of them were
formible foes, others became friends to be trusted with my
life. Most though
were just ordinary peoples who looked for their next meal and
the next day.
Seeing these people day in and day out and watching them lose the
path set
forth by the true gods saddened my heart. To see them kneeling before
idols
and scammers ate at my soul. The more I saw of this the more I knew
that
they needed someone to stand for them, to protect them and offer them
a
place where they could be warmed and fed. Approching one of these scammers
I
confronted him and what he was saying, and before I was able to bring
forth
the powers of the gods to smite him down, I found he was a mage, who cast
an
enchantment upon me. For he was living a life of luxury from the
stealings
that he took from these people. I felt myself falling into a sleep
that I
could not wake from, and then nothing but blackness. What is recounted
now
are not my words and I know not what they are.

As he feel to the ground,
the mage for that is what he was ordered two men
to pick him up and take him
into the mountains and lay him in a cave. Not to
kill him or to harm but put him
in a cave and place this idol before the
entrance, a warning to others of what
will happen to them if they defy the
god. And here he was laid for many years
uncounted the enchantment being
refreshed by the mage weekly. Many people came
forth to view the true cleric
who they believed was the fake.

One day years
later, the cleric awoke from the sleep and knew not where he
was or even how
long he had been sleep to him it seemed it was the same day,
but then he felt
the beard that had grown up his face it was reaching down
to his waist, and his
hair even longer. He had felt that he was called back
to this wakefullness by
his savouir, so that he may heal the hurts caused by
these fake priests. He
knelt upon the bed where he had laid, and his voice
rose in clarity and
sweetness as the love from Mishakal flowed through his
body. A glow began to
surround him, and this is when the mage had returned
to the cave and was greeted
to this site, which to him was horrifying. For
here was one who could expose him
to his followers as the fake he was.
Looking down from the roof of the cave, he
looked at the mage whose mouth
was hanging open and these words he spoke

"You
have defiled the names of the gods in your search for gains, and for
that you
will punished. You have treated yourQ brothers and sisters of this
world as your
slaves and for that you will be punished. But in this I will
not be the one to
punish you, as I am sure you will find shortly your magic
no longer holds power
over anyone. I will take you before the people of the
village and there your
fate will be decided by those whom you have betrayed
and misled."

The mage his
mouth still open gave a large shreek and pulling a dagger from
his belt lunged
at the cleric kneeling upon the bed. His aim going straight
for his chest, he
was repulsed by a shield around the cleric the glow
intenisfying slightly.
Stepping down from the bed the cleric walked over to
the mage and place his
hands upon his face " I forgive you for what you did
to me, for you knew not
what you did, but to the others you still must
answear."

Lifting him from the
ground he led him down into the village where he proved
the trueness of the true
gods to all the people and exposed the mage for
what he was. He left the mage in
the village to help repair the damage that
was done by working in the fields
until the people felt that his debt has
been repaided.

Leaving the village,
Maik went to the large temple of Mishakal and there he
prayed asking for
guidance.
