Subject  Resh's past

Unlike most other dwarves, Resh was not content to stay
underground his
whole life. He lived in the hills as a child, but spent most of
his time
exploring the forests near his home.

During his explorations, he gained many skills, including the
ability to
sneak invisibly through the forests. As soon as he could, he left
home
to move to Solace in order to be amongst the trees.

Resh tended to stay away from large cities, as he felt closed-in
amongst
the man-made buildings.

As he grew older, his continued travels brought him from the
forests to
the seas. When his eyes met the infinite seas, he was immediately
captured by the idea of exploring them.

He dreamt of the complete sense of freedom that he would get from
being
able to sail wherever he wanted. Being a dwarf, however, Resh
resolved
to let this dream stay a dream.

He put aside thoughts of the sea and made plans to join the 7
Kingdoms,
thinking that spending his life with fellow dwarves underground
would
bring him happiness, since it should be what any dwarf would
want.

While reluctantly preparing for 7 Kingdoms, he happened to run
into
another dwarf who had just left the 7 Kingdoms clan as the result
of a
conflict.

This dwarf warned Resh about Loror, the leader of 7 Kingdoms, and
strongly advised him to stay away from the 7 Kingdoms clan. When
Resh
heard this, he decided against joining 7 Kingdoms and began to
search
for a new clan.

When he heard about Mariner, his old dreams of exploring the seas
were
resurrected and he excitedly realized that he could spend his
life doing
what he loved doing most, exploring nature.

He travelled directly to the seashore and searched for members of
Mariner. Soon after he arrived, he met Ralyn, and asked for
permission
to join him in his journeys across the seas.

Now, Resh hopes to join Ralyn in his fleet and be part of the
Mariner
clan.
