Biddie watches. After a second she decides to practice on
herself while
Thelas finishes up the first patient. She stuffs one handful of
cloth
under an arm and begins wrapping it with the other hand.

Thelas distracted by the cleric turns around to see Biddie
half-wrapped
in his cloth.

A Solamnic Cleric says 'Humility is the reason we are chosen. A
careless
choice of words only Revered Son, I'm sure.'

Thelas says '"Well, it's a start" Thelas says with a wry smile.
Thelas
then helps undo Biddie from the cloth and points her to the next
patient. "Try it on him this time."'

Thelas enters the pit of Palanthas, spotting a kender and another
man.

Thelas says 'Well met all, I am Thelas of the Silvanesti.'

Thelas bows deeply, sweeping his robes across the floor.

Biddie is sitting at a table. She seems to be trying to wrestle
a very
heavy bag atop it.

You say in Common 'ic and gemote are the global channels you
can use
btw :)'

Biddie is sitting at a table. She seems to be trying to wrestle
a very
heavy bag atop it.

Biddie looks underneath her arm and tries to wave. The bag more
slumps
to the floor than topples. It seems to be wet.

Thelas chuckles slightly at the sight of the kender and her bag.

Thelas says 'Quite a big bag you have there for someone of
your...stature, what's in it, if I may ask?'

Biddie gives the bag a stern glare, and when that doesn't help
things
she crosses her arm. She looks up to Thelas, then looks down. ..
and up
again. "You don't suppose you could help me? You look pretty
big"

Thelas says 'Ah, of course I'll help you.'

Thelas walks over towards Biddie and attempts to help her with
her bag.

Biddie brightens up and jumps up from her chair as he reaches for
the
bag. "Thanks!" She sticks out her hand. "Biddie Springcatcher!

What's your name?"

Thelas is repelled a little by the smell of the bag, but
continues, "I
am Thelas of Silvanesti, well met Biddie Springcatcher."

Thelas says 'It seems uh, you've been doing some fishing, let me
guess,
palanthas harbor?'

Biddie nods to the bag. "Want some? It looks like I owe ya now.
 You
see, I ran into this wonderful lady here who said she worked with
a
bunch of priests. I promised her I'd get her some fish because
she gave
me the most beautiful one ever."

Biddie ICs in Common 'Yeah! I learned from this nice guy.
Well... he
was nice for a bit. Then he got mean.'

Thelas says 'Ah, humans in this city can be temperamental, and no
need
to pay me, my assistance is free.'

Thelas says 'So, are you from this fare city of Palanthas?'

Biddie shakes her heaed, peering into the oversized sack. Well,
it was
oversized for a kender. "Oh, no way. This place is all new to
me.
You're not from here, either, right?" She pulls out a smelt.
"You sure
you don't want one?"

Thelas smiles slightly at the sight of the smelt, "No, I just ate
actually, but thank you. I'm from the forest Silvanesti and I am
just
passing through this city."

Biddie almost drops the wriggling fish, but she catches it with
her
nimble fingers and shoves it in the sack. Wiping her hands on
her
skirts, she asks, "Really? Where ya headed? Somewhere
interesting?"

Thelas pulls out a bottle of wine from his own sack, which isn't
so
oversized. "Would you like a glass?" he says as he offers it to
Biddie.

Biddie pulls a glass out of a pouch. It looks familiar. "Sure!

Fillerup!"

Biddie chuckles politely.

Thelas nods slightly, taking an extra glance at the glass Biddie
holds,
but shrugs. "Here you go."

Thelas pours himself and Biddie a glass of his favorite wine, the
finest
from Silvanesti.

Thelas says '"I am on a journey to find a sacred and lost temple
dedicated to the god Solinari, my lord."'

A Solamnic Cleric looks up at the Kender and the Silvanesti and,
shaking
his head slowly, continues admnistering treatments as is his
duty.

Biddie holds it close to her nose... very close to her nose.
Actually,
her nose goes right in the drink. "Oops." She pulls the glass
away,
sneezes, then takes a large gulp.

Thelas casually looks at the glass Biddie is drinking from a few
more
times, noticing it to be one of his own, he mutters under his
breath.

Thelas says 'That is potent stuff my little friend, take care not
to
drink to much to fast, else you'll turn into a dwarf!" Thelas
says with
a laugh, it is the first time he had laughed in awhile.'

Biddie looks up from the glass with a smile, a very big smile.
"I can
tell!.. but wait.. does that mean you're a mage?!"

A Solamnic Cleric glances upward to the ceiling of the dome as if
for
answers, or perhaps begging mercy from the diety to which he is
devoted.

Thelas shakes his head slightly, "I am but a follower of
Solinari, a
healer if you will."

A Solamnic Cleric ICs in Common 'My good sirs, if you'd be kind
enough
to move to the side a step or two? I've got people to treat.'

Biddie ICs in Common 'Oh wow! I didn't know he had mages AND
healers.
Those moons kinda have one up on the others, huh? Do you know
Emla?
She's who these fishes are for? '

Biddie blinks, turns around, and smiles. "Of course! I'm Biddie
Springcatcher. Who are you?"

Biddie doesn't move, but she does extend her hand.

A Solamnic Cleric ICs in Common 'I am...not amused.'

Thelas moves aside from the cleric adding, "If I may be of
service, I am
here to help."

Thelas chuckles at the exchange between the cleric and the
kender. "I do
not know of this Emla personally, but I have heard tales of her
deeds,
she is also a healer I know, working for the order of the stars."

Nodding to the elf, he holds out a vial of clear liquid and
begins going
over the treatment for a fever that one of the local townspeople
seems
to be suffering from.

A woman has arrived.

A Solamnic Cleric ICs in Common '...and remember, she needs to
swallow
it. Rubbing it on her forehead will not help.'

Biddie says, "Really! She told me that she was a part of that
and I
thought maybe..." She trails off as the cleric starts giving
directions. Innocently, she asks, "Can I help, too?"

Thelas nods as the solamnic explains the directions. "I am new in
my
training, but not that new." Thelas snickers slightly.

Thelas takes the vial from the Solamnic and smiles walking over
toward
the women. "It will be ok young one, this will aid you." Thelas
administers the vial of liquid to the women making sure she
swallows it.

A Solamnic Cleric doesn't seem to notice the elf's trailing
words,
working his way through the crowd as best he can murmuring
prayers
softly to Paladine here and there.

Thelas looks over at Biddie who desperately wants to help.

Thelas says '"Come with me and I you can help me tend to the
wounded"
Thelas nods toward Biddie.'

Biddie hops a little at the prospect of Healing, something she' d
never
tried before but thought might involve magic.

Biddie ICs in Common 'Right away! '

A Solamnic Cleric glances over his shoulder every so often at the
kender, presumably to make sure he isn't stealing anything.

Biddie leaves the sack of fish forgotten on the table, following
Thelas
around.

Thelas grabs some cloth from within his own napsack and hands it
to
Biddie. "I will show you how to wrap a wound properly."

A Solamnic Cleric smirking a bit, calls out to the elven healer
with his
high pitched voice.

A Solamnic Cleric ICs in Common 'So you are a healer? How long
have you
had this blessing?'

Biddie takes the cloth, then grabs a little more for good
measure. She
wouldn't want to run out after all. To Thelas, she says, "I'm
all ears!
and eyes."

Thelas turns toward the solamnic and replies, "I am young in my
training, but I have had this gift since I was little, and have
been
trained in channeling my god since then."

A Solamnic Cleric mutters under his breath...

A Solamnic Cleric ICs in Common 'and fingers...'

Biddie looks down to her smelly fish-hands now full of
almost-clean
cloth. "Yup. 8, to be exact. So, does this make me a healer,
too?"

A Solamnic Cleric ICs in Common 'You do not channel your god in
the
elven forests, do you? Surely you humbly request their aid in the
form
of prayer...'

Thelas nods toward Biddie, "Ok, I will do this one, and you can
do the
next one, watch carefully." Thelas takes some cloth and wraps up
the
first mans' leg.

A Solamnic Cleric rises and peers at the elf intently.

Thelas looks at the cleric, "I channel my god through prayer, of
course"

A Solamnic Cleric seems somewhat relieved, nodding once before
returning
to his ministrations.

Biddie watches. After a second she decides to practice on
herself while
Thelas finishes up the first patient. She stuffs one handful of
cloth
under an arm and begins wrapping it with the other hand.

Thelas distracted by the cleric turns around to see Biddie

"Well, it's a start" Thelas says with a wry smile. Thelas
then helps undo Biddie from the cloth and points her to the next
patient. "Try it on him this time."'

Biddie beams. "Yes, sir!" The injured man cringes and looks up
imploringly to the Cleric as Biddie approaches with her bandages.
 She
tries to reassure the man. "Don't worry. I'm a healer now."

Thelas ponders the clerics words for a second and then moves on,
he did
not want to show his disdain for humans within this city.

Thelas follows closely behind Biddie, correcting her when needed
and
assuring the bewildered man he would be ok.

Thelas finally replies to the cleric, "Yes, I will be more
careful what
words I choose."

The Cleric smiles.

Biddie needs LOTS of correcting, but Thelas manages to keep the
patient
from ending up like a mummy. She looks to Thelas and then to the
Cleric
when it's all done. "All finished! So, how'd I do?"

The Cleric says 'It is not the words. Words are the fruit of
thought, which is the tree of belief, which grows in the soil of
faith.
The fruit that you bear can explain much about the state of the
soil at
times.'

The Cleric says 'It is merely a friendly admonition, I assure
you. We all of us Revered Sons and Daughters are suseptable to
the error
of believing ourselves to be more important than we are. Humility
is the
strength that sustains us.'

Biddie catches the end of what the Cleric says. "Ah, fruit that
we
bear? I think you guys are right out, then. I'm the only one
here
capable of that."

Thelas smirks slightly, "I need not your lessons humble solamnic,
I have
read the teachings that we are all taught."

The Cleric says 'I see you need lessons of your own, then. Do my
words prick at your thin skin so easily? I promise though, I will
not
try to give you the benefit of lessons hard learned through
experience
again.'

The Cleric does not seem particularly offended, his hands even
and calm still in his ministrations.

Biddie doesn't notice the tone between the two healers growing
colder.
"Lessons? I haven't read them. If I'm going to be a healer
though, I'd
better. Where do I find those"

Thelas says '"It is not a gift to control the will of the gods?
Of
course it is, and I justly treat it so. How can you question my
will,
when you have not even my name?"'

The Cleric says 'Your name is not important. That is the point.
You do not control the will of the Gods, and neither did the
Kingpriest.
But as an astute student of piety I am certain you already know
this.'

The Cleric shrugs slightly.

Thelas says '"I offered my service to help, and you question my
faith?"'

'"Perhaps you should reaffirm your own teachings."' he continues.

The Cleric stops briefly and looks at the elf.

The Cleric states 'Your faith is not in question, unless of your
own. I find it difficult to believe that your lack of patience
for
advice at your admitted level of limited skill stems from
anything I
could have said.'

The Cleric shrugs again, 'Think what you will. It is your gift.'

Biddie finally gets that there's some disagreement happening
here. She
decides to butt out and help another "patient". She finds a
child
playing with a doll in one corner. "Hi, can I heal you? Of
course I
can! here goes..." And indeed... off she went, wrapping like a
pro.

The Cleric goes back to his work, laying the blessings of
Paladine on a couple nearby with whom the woman is with child.

Biddie and the girl giggle together as Biddie goes about her
"divine
work", gradually using up the rest of the cloth in her
possession.

Thelas shrugs softly, "Unenlightened humans.." he murmurs softly
to
himself as he walks away.

The Cleric if he heard, does not indicate as such with anything
other than a smirk.

Thelas goes back to the table he and Biddie were at the sips on
the rest
of his wine, noticing once more that the glass Biddie was using
was
actually one of his own.

Thelas peers around himself, noticing Biddie isn't nearby
anymore.
Finally he spots her wrapping a girl in all of his cloth in the
corner.

The girl looks up at the elf as the lesser of two evils, her eyes
lit up
with the silent request "Please, save me..." begging in her eyes.

One eye even tears up a bit, glimmering like a wavy pond in a
light
storm.

Thelas goes and brings Biddie back to their table, while he
attempts to
unwrap the girl from her mummified state, apologizing profusely.

Biddie frowns as she's led back to the table, then bristles at
being led
back to the table. Then, she forgets about being led back to the
table
and pours another glass of wine.

Gasping for air, the girl's little body trembles for a second,
presumably fighting the urge to burst into tears. She looks up at
the
elf and thanks him.

She stands up and runs out of the dome, her initial injury still
untreated.
